With the West End only 25 minutes away from Southfields Tube 300m from our door ( plus the 39 bus ) only 10 minutes froms Clapham Junction station and Wimbledon mainline station a mere 14 minutes from Waterloo and the South Bank) we could say that all the vast range of London attractions are “in the palm of the hand” for our guests ! Also we can point you towards what’s best in town at any one time.
Meanwhile in Wimbledon and Putney we have, of course, the Wimbledon Museum with tour of the grounds, the Wimbledon Theatre and slow boats and fast launches from Putney Bridge both upstream and downstream all the way to Greenwich. You can go non-stop or hop on hop off. Art lovers can stop off at Tate Britain’s Pier and hop on again to Tate Modern.
Many of our guests take a day or off from the hurly burly of the West End crowds to enjoy some fresh air with the whole range of outdoor pursuits on our doorstep from tennis, golf, cycling, sailing, horse riding and walking – the latter can take in some some great country pubs !
